January 2005 News at You Can Learn Series

January was a very interesting month here at You Can Learn Series. There were many changes. We changed web hosting companies. We started with the Google Adsense programs and began working with the folks over at LinkShare. We hope the advertising isn't too intrusive and obnoxious.

We added it to help offset the costs of providing you with the information every month. Does it load fast enough for you?

We are getting a terrific amount of traffic every month. People coming with questions on C#, SQL, weightlifting, web business tips, landscaping and gardening. I hope you all are finding what you came to the site to find.

We added an exciting group of articles to our health section called, the Holiday weight loss challenge. It is a blog where I outline the steps I take each day to lose weight. Did I eat right? Did I exercise? Each day, I share comments about the steps I took to reduce my calorie intake. I am hoping you are being motivated to lose weight, too.

We recently signed up to be included in the Alexa toolbar program. Where everytime you view a website, Alexa, tracks visitors to that site. If you have the Alexa toolbar, you will notice each week our traffic rank number gets better and better. By the end of April, we expect to have a number less than 100,000. The lower the number the better. Thanks for your help with this challenge.

Next month we plan to begin to add photos to our weightlifting articles. The photos will show the correct way to do an exercise. This will help those who can't always visualize what they read.
