The Emerald Gold Euonymous is a varigated evergreen, that works well in shade or sunshine.  What we have found is the Emerald Gold Euonymous grows slower in shade and probably isn't as rich in color as it could be if planted where it would receive more sun.  But the plant is fun to watch all year round as it's colors change from green to pinkish leaves as the season progresses from spring to winter.

Perennial Shade or full sun
Glossy evergreen leaves Requires moist well drained soil
Leaves turn pink during winter Slow grower to 3 ft tall
Leaves stay on all year Grows to 3 feet wide

The Emerald Gold Euonymous has been a favorite of my family for the last 3 years. It is easy to take care of and shows color all year round.
