Truth is, I love to play
basketball, but my knees just can't handle the impact. When I play basketball,
I can lose weight easily. Two hours running up and down the basketball court
can really burn the calories. When I was running and could get in 30 miles a
week, the weight would just drip off of me.
But now I am older. I look to keep my body in good condition for the next 30
years. I walk, stretch and weightlift. Everything I have read, leads me to
believe that people that do those 3 things on a regular basis as they get
older, will be better off in their later years.
But today, no walking, no exercising, no weightlifting. Just eating a lot of
food that I should avoid. There was a party today for an employee that is
leaving the company. We ordered in Famous Daves. Ribs, barbeque chicken, cole
slaw, fries, corn bread, soda, and a candy bar. There was nothing on the table
that could be considered a weight friendly menu item. No time for exercising.
Dinner was turkey tacos. Pretty good. Slices of turkey, tomato, lettuce, sour
cream, salsa and cheese. Topped off by a brownie.
Breakfast was 2 servings of grits, a scrambled egg, butter, milk, and orange
