I mention all these adversities,
because, I didn't do as well as I should have done today. I did alright for
breakfast. Two servings of instant grits, 1 scrambled egg, butter, and orange
Then there was that mid-morning snack of two slices of toast, butter and jelly.
Lunch consisted of 2 hot dogs and some potato chips with water. Dinner was
delicious, with roast beef and gravy. Then we had mashed potatoes and broccoli.
Then there was the weekend bugaboo. I had written a couple of articles for the
website and I was bored. The weather outside was kind of messy. We had snow
overnight that had turned to sleet and then rain. Then it warmed up and the
streets and sidewalks were generally nasty. So, I had no interest in walking or
weightlifting really. So instead I made brownies. A terrible mistake.
If I could stop at one serving of brownie, then it would be okay. But, no, I
have to eat 4 servings of brownies. I am not proud of it, but that happens to
me. And it is just boredom. If I was busy, I wouldn't have done it. So, that is
my hurdle I need to overcome whenever I try to lose weight. What is yours? Do
