Day 28 on Sunday on the Weight Loss Challenge

It is Sunday today and for Mary and I, it is our chance to celebrate Valentines day. I had a small breakfast, 1 serving of grits, 1 egg, and 8 ounces of orange juice. Then we had a snack around 11 am. The snack was a slice of banana bread, slathered heavily in butter.

Then we went to a lovely Valentine's dinner at the Macaroni Grill. I am so glad I ate fairly good in the morning, because I didn't eat very well in the afternoon. The meal included a salad with
Italian vinigrette, some bread and olive oil, and the main meal was a halibut on a bed of pasta.

Unfortunately, since it was Valentines, I justified choosing a dessert. Oh it was so wonderful, but not weight loss friendly. I won't upset you with the actual description of the dessert,other than to say it was heavy in sugars and chocolate.

Mary and I refrained from getting each other chocolate, so the rest of the week should be better, because we don't have excess candy in the house. I hope you did well on the weight loss challenge! Good luck tomorrow and have a great day!
