Day 27 on Weight Loss Challenge

I have some catching up to do. Sorry, for being so far behind. I have been very busy the last four days. Let's see what steps I have been taking to lose weight. Have I been following good common sense, adding exercise and good healthy eating to my lifestyle?

Saturday was a day of exercise for me. I walked for 4 miles in the beautiful Illinois winter weather. It was almost spring like. No parks today, just around the neighborhood. For me that was still a wonderful experience. Then it was downstairs to lift weights. I concentrated on back and biceps.
Eating wise, I did okay. Started the morning with grits, scrambled egg, no butter, milk, and orange juice. Lunch was a sandwich of sliced turkey, Colby Jack cheese, green beans and water.

Then for dinner, we went to a friend's house and had a wonderful dinner. We had pasta, cornish hens, salmon, a wonderful turtle cheesecake, some delicious appetisers and a beer like drink from Smirnof. The conversation was delightful. We saw some friends we hadn't seen in years and it was a totally terrific experience.

Because I exercised and ate right during the day, the extra food I had at dinner didn't upset me. Remember the goal. Learn to eat right so you don't have to diet every year.

No candy today and no snacking during the day. An excellent day. I hope you also did well! Good luck tomorrow and have a great day!
