I think most of us eat too much
and many of us have sedentary lifestyles. Our forefathers would be out in the
garden for many hours a day, chopping wood and didn't have easy access to food.
Today we sit around an office all day. We are talking on the phone all day,
working on a computer or sitting in a conference room. We go out for lunch at a
fast food restaurant. It is late when we get out of work, so we go out to a
restaurant for dinner. We lack the exercise we need and we eat too much food.
I went for a walk today. But only walked for one mile. Some of the path was
good. But it had snowed overnight. There is still ice on the path from the
melting that had occurred for the last 4 days. So we have a thin layer of snow
on top of ice. Very dangerous. After almost falling a couple of times, I
decided it was in my best interest to cut my walk short. I may have to stick to
walking on the road for a couple of days until it is safer to walk on the
paths.
Breakfast today was an 8 ounce glass of milk and 8 ounce glass of orange juice.
Lunch consisted of a 16 ounce bottle of Sunny Delight. It tasted like Tang
mixed together and placed in a bottle. Dinner was a bowl of tomato soup.
So you see that fasting for me isn't really that bad. I have a friend who is
Jewish and his definition of fasting is much more strict.
I am going to try to eliminate candy from my diet this week. Feel free to join
me in this quest. Good luck today and have a great day!
