Day 15 on Holiday Weight Loss Challenge

Are you doing better than me on the holiday diet challenge? How much weight have you lost to date? Are you eating better, eating healthier and losing weight? Do you even consider yourself on a diet? If you are eating right then you might not even consider that you are on a diet.

Some people will have given up by now. I am excited that you are still watching your weight. Each day presents itself with an opportunity for change. An opportunity for you to take a chance. Notice how change and chance are similar. When you take a chance you make a change. Hopefully for the good.
For breakfast I splurged and had 2 scrambled eggs, 2 servings of instant grits, a tablespoon of butter, 6 ounces of milk and 8 ounces of orange juice. The milk is 2% milk.

Lunch was delicious, with a homemade chicken sandwich on 2 slices of bread and some mayo. I drank water and had green beans and for dessert I had an apple.

For dinner, Mary and I had leftovers from the previous night. Mashed potatoes, gravy, turkey, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, and stuffing. We each enjoyed a glass of water with our meal. Oh yeah, we also had a brownie or two.

Not my best diet day by any means. But to my credit, I walked 4 miles on mostly packed snow. Then when I got home I weightlifted for more than half an hour. That should have burned off most of my brownies. Shouldn't it? ;>)

Tomorrow starts a new month. If you haven't started your diet, there is no better time than to start when a new month or new week or new day begins. Get the hint. There is no better day than today to start a diet and begin to lose weight. Get out there and do it!
