For breakfast I splurged and had 2
scrambled eggs, 2 servings of instant grits, a tablespoon of butter, 6 ounces
of milk and 8 ounces of orange juice. The milk is 2% milk.
Lunch was delicious, with a homemade chicken sandwich on 2 slices of bread and
some mayo. I drank water and had green beans and for dessert I had an apple.
For dinner, Mary and I had leftovers from the previous night. Mashed potatoes,
gravy, turkey, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, and stuffing. We each
enjoyed a glass of water with our meal. Oh yeah, we also had a brownie or two.
Not my best diet day by any means. But to my credit, I
walked 4 miles on mostly packed snow. Then when I got home I
weightlifted for more than half an hour. That should have burned off most of my
brownies. Shouldn't it? ;>)
Tomorrow starts a new month. If you haven't started your diet, there is no
better time than to start when a new month or new week or new day begins. Get
the hint. There is no better day than today to start a diet and begin to lose
weight. Get out there and do it!
