Day 4 on Holiday Weight Loss Challenge

How did you do today? I didn't do very well at all today. I had a little stress in my life with a job interview, and resorted to comfort food. I did okay, all things considered, it could have been much worse.

For breakfast I had two packages of Instant Grits, an 8 ounce glass of orange juice, one scrambled egg, 1 tablespoon of butter and 6 ounces of 2% milk.

I was a little lazy about making lunch today, so I ended up eating at Subway. I had the turkey breast, ham and roast beef sandwich on wheat. Thankfully it was only 6 inches.
I added mayo (lots), lettuce and tomato. Include a 12 oz Pepsi and potato chips and I suppose it was horrible.

I also walked for about 4 miles today. During my lunch hour, I went to the Blackwell forest preserve and enjoyed a brisk walk in the cold air. There was snow last night and I was the first person to walk in the snow. It was terrific. A dog like animal, based on tracks, was chasing a rabbit back and forth across the path. I am sorry to say the rabbit loss the chase.

I saw 3 different types of bird tracks, deer tracks and I think a squirrel track. It was all very cool. Every time I walk these paths, I see something different. Because of the lighting, snow, a tree has fallen or whatever, there is always change in the forest. The coolest thing today was walking over the snow that lay over the pine needles. It was so quiet when I walked and soft like a soft carpet.

There was one small Reeses candy before supper tonight. For dinner, I had a roast beef sandwich, on white bread, with mayo, and potato chips. Then I had two pieces of Reeses peanut butter cups. I felt bad about the candy, but sometimes we falter. This is reality.

After choir practice, I ate another couple of pieces of candy and then had an 8 ounce glass of orange juice.

This was not a good day, but it could have been worse. Tomorrow, there is another phone interview and maybe I will handle it better. I hope you did well. Good luck tomorrow.
