are planning on eating for supper tonight? Focused on what is on TV? Focused on
what your spouse is saying to you right now?

I think the comment is designed to help you realize that the people who succeed
in life are not all super geniuses that you and I could never match up with. We
all have innate talents and abilities. If we learn to harvest that ability then
we can succeed.
 
There are certain traits that successful people have that help launched them to
victory in their competitive arena. One thing that successful people don't do
is go home each night and sit in front of the TV for 4 hours and then go to
bed.
Success Habits of the Successful Internet Entrepreneur
They are more likely to go home and study a book that is related to their
industry. They are more likely to be out networking with people they can
influence or people proven to have valuable skill sets to be harvested. They
are researching ways to beat their market competitors. They are looking to
trends in their industry.
You don't have to be the smartest person in the room. You do have to have a
consistent, profitable work ethic. You have to be willing to network with
others. Sometimes you have to be willing to go without sleep for a few hours to
finish a project in a timely fashion. You have to be able and willing to think
1 year, 2 years, 3 years and even what will happen 5 years in the future. You
should be spending quiet time thinking.
Think about your market. Think about the market channels you want to influence.
Think about communities that may be profitable to you. How can you or your
product help others? What is the best price for your product? Can I build
something today, a community, a web product, an interface, that will be worth
money in the future?

Spend time thinking, planning, educating yourself and working toward an
